About the role

The American University of the Middle East (AUM) is seeking full-time faculty members for its Liberal Arts Department. Candidates will join a dynamic, interdisciplinary team to teach undergraduate courses across a range of liberal arts disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lectures, seminars and tutorials to undergraduate students.
• Develop, update and assess teaching materials and curricula.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
• Engage in departmental activities, including curriculum development and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Maintain and enhance subject-matter expertise through research and professional development.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD degree from an internationally accredited university in one of the listed disciplines.
• Strong commitment to teaching excellence and student advising at the undergraduate level.
• Ability to thrive in a diverse, fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.
• Demonstrable proficiency in oral and written English.
• Industry experience is considered an advantage.
