Income Auditor

About the role

The Income Auditor ensures the accuracy of all financial transactions across hotel departments, supporting the Controller and General Manager in maintaining reliable revenue records. This position plays a critical role in daily reporting, discrepancy resolution, and supervision of night audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and verify daily financial reports, including rebates, credits, and charges.
• Investigate room‑rate discrepancies, complimentary room reports, and housekeeping variance reports.
• Review and reconcile food & beverage sales using the Micros POS system, control banquet function sheets, and validate event charges.
• Audit telephone, laundry, and recreation reports against system records; conduct surprise inspections of ancillary departments.
• Verify cashier deposits, collections, bank deposits, and resolve shortages or overages.
• Prepare journal vouchers for sales, cash, room statistics, food cover, telephone, and market segment data.
• Supervise Night Auditor activities, maintain revenue and cash‑handling files, and perform special tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate financial discrepancies.
• Experience working with hotel revenue and audit processes.
• Capability to supervise night‑audit staff and coordinate with multiple departments.
• Proficiency in reviewing and reconciling daily financial statements.
