Assistant Director of Catering

About the role

The Assistant Director of Catering will lead the profit‑driven Catering and Events department at Four Seasons’ flagship hotel in Kuwait City. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will ensure seamless service delivery, drive revenue growth and uphold the brand’s luxury standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the Catering and Events department, ensuring profitability and service excellence.
• Supervise Senior Managers and the administrative team, guiding daily operations and communication documents such as Banquet Event Orders and Daily Events Reports.
• Review and allocate booking inquiries, manage sales conversions, and coordinate with Sales, Reservations and Guest Relations.
• Prepare monthly forecasts, analyze pick‑up trends, and evaluate month‑end financial summaries against the P&L.
• Develop and execute projects for targeted market segments to generate demand, increase volume and boost revenue.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to guarantee smooth execution of events.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising senior catering managers in a luxury hotel environment.
• Strong financial literacy with the ability to forecast, budget and interpret P&L statements.
• Analytical mindset capable of tracking trends, pick‑up rates and revenue performance.
• Project‑management aptitude to design and launch demand‑generation initiatives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
