Coating Inspector

About the role

Rokadiya Overseas is seeking a Coating Inspector for an industrial assignment in Kuwait City. The role supports quality assurance by ensuring protective coating work complies with approved specifications, inspection procedures and project requirements. The inspector will work closely with site teams, contractors and quality personnel to identify defects early and maintain accurate records throughout the coating process.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect surface preparation, coating application, curing and final finish against approved procedures and project specifications.
• Verify environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, surface temperature and dew point before and during coating activities.
• Check coating materials, batch details, mixing ratios, storage conditions and application equipment.
• Perform or witness dry film thickness, wet film thickness, adhesion, holiday, visual and other required tests.
• Record inspection results, non‑conformities, corrective actions and release status in quality documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors and project personnel to resolve coating defects and support timely approvals.

Required profile

• Practical experience inspecting industrial, structural, pipeline, tank or marine coating systems.
• Knowledge of surface preparation standards, coating specifications, inspection and test plans and quality control procedures.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, coating manufacturer data sheets, drawings and inspection checklists.
• Strong understanding of environmental‑condition monitoring, coating defects, rework requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Accurate report writing with attention to measurements, traceability and non‑conformance control.
• Effective communication with applicators, subcontractors, quality teams and client representatives on site.
