Demand Planner

About the role

The Demand Planner will own the demand planning process at both category and item level, ensuring accurate Open-to-Buy data is available to maximize sales while maintaining optimal inventory levels. The role works closely with merchandising, logistics and finance teams to keep stock available and align orders with forecasted demand.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate monthly stock, sales, margins and intake data by category.
• Facilitate monthly forecasting meetings to re‑forecast sales, margins and orders.
• Prepare item‑wise orders considering supplier lead times, transit, promotions, sales history and seasonality.
• Analyze weekly forecast vs. actual sales to identify gaps and recommend corrective actions.
• Review purchase orders before release to assess stock impact.
• Alert stakeholders of late orders, overstock or stock‑out situations.
• Ensure continuous availability of best‑selling and core items throughout the year.
• Produce and share monthly forecast accuracy reports.
• Prioritize shipments and coordinate with logistics for timely clearance.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of stock management and sales forecasting experience, preferably in retail merchandising.
• Strong knowledge of retail procurement in local and overseas markets.
• Bachelor’s degree; MBA is a plus.
• Positive, ‘can‑do’ attitude and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
