Demi Chef de Partie

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Demi Chef de Partie to support our kitchen team in delivering high‑quality dishes that meet hotel standards. You will work closely with the Chef de Partie, ensuring smooth service and maintaining the excellence our guests expect.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes according to hotel recipes.
• Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and prepared before service (mise en place).
• Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation at all times.
• Follow portion control guidelines and minimise waste.
• Support smooth kitchen operations during service.
• Keep the kitchen and workstations clean, sanitized, and organised.
• Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with other kitchen team members and service staff.
• Assist in training and guiding Commis Chefs when required.
• Report any maintenance or equipment issues to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
• Participate in menu planning, stock control, and inventory when needed.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
• Willingness to learn and support junior kitchen staff.
• Reliability and a proactive attitude towards kitchen hygiene and safety.

Required skills

• Mise en place – preparing ingredients and stations before service.
• Portion control – measuring and managing food portions to reduce waste.
• Food safety – knowledge of hygiene and health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Inventory management – handling stock control and inventory tasks.
• Menu planning – contributing to dish development and menu updates.
