Generator Technician – Kuwait (Secret Clearance)

About the role

The Generator Technician will support U.S. Army field operations in Kuwait, providing on‑site troubleshooting, diagnostics, maintenance and repair of military and commercial generators and HVAC systems, including the 150 kW EPP III units.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and sustainment on 3 kW‑150 kW generators (50/60/400 Hz), including installation, removal, and load‑bank testing.
• Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC electrical systems, electronic control modules, wiring, and accessories.
• Diagnose, service, and repair HVAC units, chillers, and environmental control units mounted on trailers or vehicles.
• Maintain UPS equipment and operate load banks during testing.
• Fabricate wire harnesses, solder terminals, and perform copper‑tube brazing and refrigerant recharge.
• Work in both generator shop and field environments, adhering to safety and CRC fitness standards.
• Provide training to site operations and maintenance personnel and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with an active Secret security clearance (must be able to obtain/maintain).
• High School diploma (AA/AS with 4 years experience or BA/BS with 2 years experience also acceptable).
• Minimum 3 years of related experience with diesel generators and HVAC systems.
• Valid U.S. passport (≥2 years), U.S. driver’s license and international driver’s permit.
• Ability to travel throughout the Middle East (Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq).

Required skills

• Generator repair and troubleshooting (diesel, parallel systems, switchgear).
• HVAC repair, brazing copper tubing, refrigerant evacuation and recharge.
• Load‑bank operation and UPS maintenance.
• Wire‑harness fabrication and soldering.
• Section 608 EPA certification (preferred).
