IT Business Partner – Supply Chain

About the role

The IT Business Partner for Supply Chain acts as the strategic bridge between the Supply Chain unit and the IT organisation, ensuring technology solutions drive operational excellence, cost efficiency and customer satisfaction across warehousing, logistics, demand planning and fulfilment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary IT liaison for Supply Chain leadership, translating business strategy into IT road‑maps and initiatives.
• Partner with architects, project managers and AMS teams to deliver scalable solutions for warehouse automation, logistics and inventory visibility, overseeing ERP, WMS, TMS and integration platforms.
• Identify and lead digital optimisation projects, including automation, AI/ML forecasting and IoT applications for warehouse and logistics processes.
• Establish KPIs, ensure IT governance, cybersecurity compliance and manage incident handling, SLA tracking and continuous improvement.
• Build trusted relationships with Supply Chain heads, distribution centre managers and logistics partners, communicating status, risks and business impact.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Supply Chain or related field (MBA preferred).
• 10‑15 years of IT experience in retail, eCommerce, FMCG or logistics, with at least one end‑to‑end WMS implementation (preferably SAP).
• Proven experience with ERP, TMS and WMS platforms such as Oracle, SAP, Manhattan or Blue Yonder.
• Exposure to integration platforms (Boomi, MuleSoft) and data‑analytics tools.
• Strong understanding of warehousing, logistics, replenishment and planning processes; multi‑country retail experience is a plus.
