Lead Construction Engineer – Civil/Structural (Marine)

About the role

KBR's Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is seeking a Lead Construction Engineer – Civil/Structural (Marine) to oversee the execution of an Oil Pier New Arm Facility project for KNPC in Kuwait. The role bridges the engineering and construction phases, ensuring that the EPC Contractor delivers according to KBR’s quality and schedule standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review and monitor construction activities performed by the EPC Contractor on‑site.
• Participate in reporting and resolution of construction issues with the client and EPC Contractor.
• Coordinate with the EPC Contractor to meet quality requirements and timely progress.
• Assess EPC deliverables from a construction methodology perspective.
• Integrate with KNPC’s PMC team during the construction stage.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Marine, Ocean, Naval or Offshore Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of post‑graduation industrial experience.
• At least 8 years in refinery or petrochemical environments.
• Minimum 3 years with engineering/project‑management consulting firms.
• Hands‑on marine construction experience (jetty, pier, berth, approach trestle, loading arm, mooring dolphins, etc.).
