Senior Project Manager – Kuwait City

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to be based in Kuwait City. The role will act as the primary liaison between the client, contractors, consultants and local regulatory authorities, ensuring smooth project coordination and execution throughout the lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the client in meetings with contractors, consultants and regulatory bodies, advocating client interests.
• Coordinate and communicate technical, commercial and project requirements across all stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress through regular site visits and produce periodic progress reports.
• Identify, track and escalate risks, issues, delays and technical concerns.
• Attend project coordination meetings and support resolution of outstanding actions.
• Follow up on permits, approvals, inspections and utility connections with relevant authorities.
• Ensure compliance with project quality, safety and client requirements.
• Support project completion, handover activities and final walkthroughs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 + years of experience in project coordination, construction or project management, preferably in the oil & gas sector.
• Proven experience working in Kuwait with knowledge of local standards, building codes and regulatory requirements.
• Established track record of direct engagement with Kuwaiti authorities and government agencies.
• Fluent Arabic speaker (essential).
• Strong stakeholder‑management and cross‑functional collaboration abilities.
• Excellent communication, reporting and presentation skills.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
