Training Officer – MHE & Safety Training

About the role

We are looking for a Training Officer to develop the knowledge and skills of our workforce across supply chain operations. The role will design, deliver and coordinate training programmes covering material handling equipment, defensive driving, first aid, fire awareness and staff inductions, ensuring employees meet current and future business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design and conduct comprehensive training programmes for SCM staff, including new‑starter MHE training, refresher courses and defensive driving.
• Deliver staff inductions, first‑aid and fire‑awareness sessions as required.
• Attend monthly site safety meetings and provide updates on MHE training matters.
• Set training goals with line managers to reduce accident cost, severity and frequency.
• Investigate MHE incidents, evaluate procedures and recommend safety improvements.
• Assess departmental training needs, evaluate trainee competency and monitor training effectiveness.
• Maintain in‑house training facilities, equipment and recommend new training methods.
• Compile employee feedback and ensure high customer satisfaction with training services.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a trainer or facilitator, preferably within logistics or MHE environments.
• Minimum two years experience operating MHE equipment.
• Ability to manage the full training cycle from needs analysis to evaluation.
• Strong communication skills; bilingual in English and Arabic is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication abilities.
• Organisational and self‑management capabilities with administrative competence.
