AI Engineer

About the role

CODED’s AI Factory is looking for an AI Engineer to design, build, and ship AI solutions for enterprise clients in Kuwait. You will work within a small delivery team, translating client needs into technical designs and owning the end‑to‑end implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Build retrieval‑augmented (RAG) assistants over client content such as SharePoint, document archives, and ERP systems.
• Design and implement agentic assistants that call tools and APIs with defined limits.
• Automate transactional workflows (finance, HR, procurement) by combining LLMs with rules, APIs, and human‑approval steps.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise platforms (ERP, HCM, CRM, BI, Microsoft 365) while respecting access controls.
• Prepare and profile client data, create pipelines, and ensure data quality before use.
• Prototype quickly to demonstrate value, then harden solutions with testing, monitoring, logging, and cost controls.
• Set up DevOps foundations: CI/CD pipelines, containerised deployments, IaC, and production monitoring.
• Define evaluation metrics with clients (time saved, error rates, retrieval accuracy) and document hand‑over materials.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software or ML engineering experience, including at least 1 year building LLM‑based applications used by real users.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken, with ability to explain technical concepts to business audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Required skills

• Python, SQL, TypeScript or JavaScript.
• REST APIs, JSON.
• Experience with embeddings, vector search, chunking, and retrieval quality evaluation.
• Proficiency with LLM APIs (Claude, OpenAI) and agent/orchestration frameworks.
• Working knowledge of Azure, AWS or GCP and DevOps tools (Git, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
• Understanding of security and privacy basics for AI systems.
