Assistant Director of Sales

About the role

The Assistant Director of Sales will support the Director of Sales in shaping and executing the hotel's strategic sales plan across corporate, MICE, leisure and group segments. This role combines client relationship management, team leadership and close collaboration with marketing, revenue and front‑office teams to drive revenue and uphold the hotel's luxury standards.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, acquire and manage key accounts while nurturing long‑term relationships with VIP clients, event organizers and travel partners.
• Host high‑profile clients and guests on‑site, showcasing the hotel’s offerings and service excellence.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Revenue and Front Office to align sales initiatives with brand and guest experience goals.
• Organise and lead site inspections, FAM trips, client events and on‑property sales meetings.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to refine sales tactics.
• Lead, mentor and inspire a small team of sales managers and coordinators.
• Represent the hotel at local and international trade shows, exhibitions and networking events.
• Prepare accurate forecasts, reports and performance metrics for senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel or luxury hospitality sales, preferably at a managerial level.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with a focus on high‑value clients.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Leadership experience with a track record of developing sales teams.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and adjust strategies.
