About the role
This entry‑level management position leads the banquet team while personally assisting in the execution of events according to company standards. The role combines hands‑on service delivery with responsibility for financial and administrative duties, ensuring high‑quality guest experiences.
Key responsibilities
- Manage departmental inventories, assets, and equipment maintenance, and order supplies such as china, glassware, and service equipment.
- Conduct monthly department meetings, maintain attendance logs, and enforce sanitation standards and SOPs.
- Schedule banquet staff, forecast service needs, and control liquor costs using beverage usage records.
- Lead shifts, actively service events, and apply knowledge of food, wine pairings, and modern cuisine presentation.
- Interview, hire, and train banquet captains and staff, conduct orientations, and provide performance feedback.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, or a related professional area.
