Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE) Technician in Buehring, Kuwait

About the role

The Aviation Life Support Equipment (ALSE) Technician serves as the focal point for all logistics, repair, and certification functions for supplied ALSE, first‑aid kits, and Night Vision Devices (NVD) supporting deployed personnel in Kuwait.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, approve, and certify completed maintenance actions, using drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics and technical publications.
• Order, receive, inventory, and resolve shipping discrepancies for kits and components.
• Maintain ALSE and NVD for Department of State (DoS) and Defense Intelligence (DI) personnel, ensuring proper fit of crew clothing.
• Maintain computerized inventories and records to meet inspection interval compliance.
• Provide instruction to contractor and host‑nation personnel on proper use and care of equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, supporting operational readiness.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year verifiable experience as an ALSE technician.
• Certificate of training as a school‑trained ALSE Technician.
• Valid U.S. passport (minimum 2.5 years) and ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance (NAC‑I T1 Public Trust).
• Eligibility to meet CENTCOM medical requirements, obtain a Kuwait PCC background check, and secure a Kuwait visa.

Required skills

• Knowledge of CMF 92 Supply & Services MOS series or equivalent military/commercial logistics codes.
• Working knowledge of aircrew and aircraft LSE requirements for extreme environments.
• Familiarity with aviation maintenance data systems and related documentation.
• Proficiency with life‑support equipment maintenance tools and tool‑control procedures.
• Understanding of seat‑kit survival components and aircrew life‑raft/life‑preserver inspection and maintenance.
