About the role
We are looking for a motivated Barista to join our team at a Marriott property in Kuwait City. The role involves preparing coffee and food, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for guests.
Key responsibilities
- Perform opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies, cleaning equipment, and securing the premises.
- Take guest orders, enter them into the MICROS POS system, and prepare coffee and food items.
- Operate cash register, collect payments, provide change, and complete end‑of‑shift cash reconciliation.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, coffee cart, tables, dishes, and equipment throughout the shift.
- Ensure coffee machines and other appliances are turned on/off at appropriate times and report any issues.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- No prior work experience required; willingness to learn and follow procedures.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the MICROS point‑of‑sale system.
- Cash handling and register operation.
- Basic operation and cleaning of coffee machines and related equipment.
