Barista

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and skilled Barista to join our coffee shop team. The successful candidate will prepare high‑quality coffee and beverages, provide excellent customer service, and help maintain a clean and welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas and specialty beverages following company recipes.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders and other brewing equipment.
• Customize orders according to customer preferences while ensuring consistency.
• Upsell pastries and food pairings.
• Greet customers, take orders accurately and handle inquiries or complaints professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in preparation and service areas, restock supplies and follow health‑safety regulations.
• Monitor inventory, receive deliveries and report shortages.
• Handle cash, process payments and operate the POS system.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure smooth workflow.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar coffee‑shop role.
• Strong knowledge of coffee types, brewing methods and espresso‑based drinks.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and multitask.
• Attention to detail and consistency in beverage preparation.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and handle hot beverages.
