Bellman – Hotel Guest Services

About the role

The Bellman provides front‑line guest assistance in a hotel environment, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth arrival experience. This role involves handling luggage, guiding guests to the front desk, and maintaining a tidy lobby while representing the hotel's service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests at the main entrance, offering time‑appropriate salutations and recognizing repeat or Priority Club members.
• Assist with opening and closing car and taxi doors, and handle luggage, heavy packages, coats, and suitcases promptly.
• Escort guests to the front desk, coordinate with the Front Desk Clerk, and deliver room keys and information.
• Maintain a spotless porte‑cochère, lobby, and baggage room; report major cleaning needs to the Concierge or Bell Captain.
• Provide guests with information about hotel facilities, services, and emergency routes.
• Deliver newspapers to guest rooms as assigned and document important matters in the Duty Log.
• Operate and secure the hotel key system, arrange transport, and coordinate luggage movement.
• Adhere to time and attendance policies, participate in training, and support team cost‑saving initiatives.

Required profile

• Professional appearance with well‑groomed hair, clean uniform, and polished shoes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, attentive to guest needs, and proactive in offering assistance.
• Good knowledge of the hotel layout, lift operations, and emergency exits.
• Ability to work collaboratively, replace colleagues when needed, and participate in CSR events.
• Commitment to follow hotel policies, safety procedures, and service standards.
