Business Development Officer

About the role

The Business Development Officer at CODED turns conversations into signed deals, owning small‑size enterprise opportunities from first contact through proposal, pitch, negotiation and close. This role sits at the front of the sales funnel and supports larger deals with research and written material.

Key responsibilities

• Write clear, persuasive, technically accurate proposals in professional English, translating client problems into scoped programmes with objectives, outcomes, structure and pricing.
• Manage outreach and pipeline: identify target companies and decision‑makers, conduct structured outreach via email, LinkedIn and calls, qualify leads and keep the CRM up‑to‑date.
• Pitch and close small‑size deals end‑to‑end, delivering client presentations, negotiating terms and ensuring smooth hand‑over to operations.
• Maintain a reusable proposal library, handle RFP and tender submissions, and coordinate with education, R&D and curriculum teams to ensure deliverability.

Required profile

• 2–4 years experience in business development, sales, consulting or proposal/bid roles.
• Excellent written English (tested) and fluency in Arabic.
• Comfortable discussing technical topics such as software engineering, AI, cybersecurity and data.
• Strong document craft and visual presentation skills for proposals and decks.
• Proficient with AI tools for research and drafting, organized CRM usage and disciplined follow‑up.
• Bachelor’s degree; business, engineering or IT background is a plus.
• Experience selling to Kuwaiti or GCC corporates and government entities is a strong advantage.
