Cards Product Manager – Banking (Kuwait)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cards Product Manager to lead the growth of a major bank’s cards business in Kuwait. The role will drive credit‑card portfolio strategy, new product launches, customer acquisition, loyalty programmes and large‑scale transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to expand the credit‑card and SME credit‑card business, identifying new market opportunities.
• Own and improve portfolio performance metrics such as activation, spend, utilization, profitability, attrition and customer satisfaction.
• Lead the design and rollout of card loyalty programmes and customer engagement initiatives.
• Drive customer acquisition, card usage and spend uplift through targeted product and marketing actions.
• Manage complex card upgrades, migrations and transformation projects across issuing platforms.
• Collaborate with Technology, Operations, Marketing, Compliance, Product and external vendors to ensure successful delivery.
• Oversee technical readiness across issuing platforms, including BIN configuration, tokenisation, digital wallets, recurring payments, 3DS/ACS and fraud controls.
• Ensure operational readiness for card production, personalization, dispatch and delivery.
• Monitor portfolio KPIs and use data‑driven insights to identify opportunities, risks and improvement areas.
• Maintain compliance with card‑scheme requirements, regulatory frameworks, data‑privacy and governance standards.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in cards product management, preferably within a bank, card issuer or payments organisation.
• Proven track record launching new card products and managing large‑scale upgrade or migration projects.
• Strong understanding of loyalty solutions, customer acquisition and card‑portfolio growth.
• Knowledge of Visa/Mastercard schemes, digital wallets, tokenisation, fraud/risk and payment technologies.
• Familiarity with the Kuwait/GCC cards market and regulatory environment.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with Tableau for data visualisation.
