Chef de Cuisine – Pan Asian

About the role

An elite 5‑star luxury hotel in Kuwait is seeking a visionary Chef de Cuisine to lead its flagship Pan‑Asian restaurant. The successful candidate will own menu development, kitchen profitability and the overall culinary direction, ensuring every dish meets five‑star standards of taste, temperature and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Direct end‑to‑end culinary operations for the Pan‑Asian venue, maintaining 5‑star quality benchmarks.
• Conceptualise and launch seasonal menus, daily specials, chef‑tasting events and promotional activations.
• Manage food‑costs, yield, portioning and negotiate with suppliers for premium Asian ingredients.
• Recruit, train, evaluate and develop a diverse kitchen team, fostering succession planning.
• Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager and F&B leadership to deliver memorable guest experiences and address feedback promptly.
• Enforce HACCP protocols, workplace safety, hygiene practices and internal hotel standards.

Required profile

• Previous Chef de Cuisine or Head Chef experience in 4‑star/5‑star luxury hotels or acclaimed fine‑dining Pan‑Asian concepts.
• Strong business acumen with proven food‑cost management and menu‑engineering expertise.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop diverse kitchen teams.
• Commitment to visual artistry, authentic flavour and high‑volume consistency.
• Thorough knowledge of food‑safety regulations and HACCP compliance.

Required skills

• Advanced wok techniques, dim‑sum preparation, sushi craftsmanship and authentic sauce production.
• Modern grilling methods specific to Pan‑Asian cuisine.
• Food‑cost control, menu engineering and inventory optimisation.
