Consultant - Petroleum Engineer - Well Testing & Completion

About the role

The Consultant – Petroleum Engineer will provide specialist advice on well testing, completion, stimulation, workover and production optimisation for both conventional and unconventional reservoirs in Kuwait. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to design and execute testing and intervention programmes for onshore and offshore projects, including HPHT wells.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review completion, testing, stimulation and workover programmes for exploration, appraisal, development and new discovery wells.
• Analyse well‑test and production data, prepare comprehensive reports and recommend optimisation strategies.
• Plan and supervise rig‑less interventions such as PLT, TDT, perforation, acid stimulation, hydraulic fracturing, PTA and slickline operations.
• Provide technical support for coiled‑tubing operations, artificial‑lift monitoring and well‑surveillance activities.
• Coordinate with drilling rigs, service companies and contractors to ensure safe and effective execution of well‑testing and intervention activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 21 years of international upstream oil & gas experience, including extensive work on well testing, completion, stimulation and production optimisation.
• Proven experience with conventional and unconventional reservoirs, HPHT wells and complex on‑shore/off‑shore operations.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
