Consultant - Surface Facility Production Assurance

About the role

Anton is seeking an experienced Consultant to optimise surface facilities and ensure production assurance for its upstream assets in Kuwait. The role focuses on balancing well deliverability with processing capacity, removing bottlenecks, and supporting multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Optimise the integrated production system by balancing well deliverability with surface processing constraints.
• Identify and eliminate surface bottlenecks to increase hydrocarbon throughput and reduce back‑pressure.
• Develop and analyse integrated surface network models (fluid flow, pressure drops, thermal behaviour).
• Provide engineering support for facility modifications, equipment sizing and debottlenecking projects.
• Design, audit and optimise chemical injection programmes for scale, corrosion, asphaltene, hydrate, emulsion and biological control.
• Diagnose and resolve complex flow‑assurance issues such as emulsions, foaming, scaling and wax deposition.
• Manage chemical service providers, set KPIs and oversee laboratory fluid analysis (PVT, water chemistry, crude characterisation).
• Monitor and mitigate internal corrosion and erosion risks in pipelines and processing equipment.
• Use production surveillance and real‑time data to identify performance issues and improve asset uptime.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline (Master’s/PhD preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of upstream oil & gas experience, with strong background in surface facilities, production operations and flow assurance.

Required skills

• Advanced hands‑on experience with HYSYS, PIPESIM, GAP or OLGA for process and network modelling.
• Proven expertise in chemical injection system optimisation, water analysis and crude composition assessment.
• Strong data‑analytics and production‑surveillance capabilities using real‑time operational data.
• In‑depth knowledge of surface production systems, gathering networks, separation, gas compression, water handling and asset integrity.
