Data Center Network Engineer - Secret Clearance

About the role

The Data Center Network Engineer will provide enterprise‑level support for a large‑scale networking infrastructure, ensuring reliable service delivery from the data center to global transport architecture. This position requires a Secret clearance and the ability to work in the host country.

Key responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot Cisco Nexus 9000 series switches, Fabric Extenders, UCS chassis and Fabric Interconnects.
• Implement and support advanced networking technologies such as vPC, FCoE, Catalyst VSS, MPLS L3VPN, eBGP/iBGP, OSPF/EIGRP, DMVPN and FlexPod designs.
• Provide basic VMware vSphere networking support and resolve related issues.
• Manage change control processes and engage Cisco TAC when needed.
• Monitor network availability and performance using DX NetOps Spectrum, SolarWinds Orion and Cisco DNA Center.
• Apply engineering best practices, security hardening per DISA STIGs, and perform regular maintenance for IAVA vulnerabilities and CCRI compliance.

Required profile

• Active Secret clearance and eligibility to obtain host‑nation visa and driver’s license.
• Proven experience with Cisco Nexus, ASR routing and UCS platforms.
• Strong knowledge of data‑center networking protocols and security standards.
• Ability to work independently and act as an escalation point for complex issues.
