Demi Chef de Partie – Baker

About the role

Marriott International is seeking a motivated Demi Chef de Partie – Baker to join its Food & Beverage team in Kuwait City. You will work in a fast‑paced hotel kitchen, preparing baked goods and supporting the culinary team to deliver high‑quality meals and specials.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, substitute items and cold foods according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters; pull and thaw items from freezer storage.
• Maintain food logs, monitor portioning, arrangement and garnish, and ensure food quality and quantity.
• Communicate menu specials, out‑of‑stock items and excess food usage to chefs and service staff.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and employee coaching as needed.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies; report maintenance issues and accidents.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree related to culinary arts or baking.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant bakery or kitchen experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb and work in a hot kitchen environment.
