Deputy Director – Programmes (Kuwait)

About the role

The Deputy Director – Programmes will lead the delivery of large‑scale technical and business transformation initiatives in Kuwait. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure programmes are executed on time, within scope and budget while aligning with the organisation’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Establish a new Project Management Office (PMO) and implement associated processes, systems and tools.
• Plan, execute and deliver technical and business transformation programmes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, milestones and resource allocations.
• Lead cross‑functional teams, providing direction, coaching and performance oversight.
• Monitor programme progress, identify risks and apply mitigation strategies.
• Maintain effective communication and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define goals, priorities and success metrics.
• Optimise processes and methodologies to improve efficiency and quality.
• Manage programme budgets and ensure financial accountability.
• Promote a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and compliance with regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in project and programme management, delivering complex, multi‑disciplinary initiatives.
• Proven track record of leading large‑scale technical and business transformation programmes.
• Experience delivering projects in the Middle East is preferred.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at all organisational levels.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a plus.
