Director of Finance & Business Support

About the role

We are seeking a Director of Finance & Business Support to join our hotel leadership team. In this senior position you will shape the financial strategy, drive performance, and support operational efficiency across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the hotel's financial strategy in line with corporate objectives.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Provide financial guidance and recommendations to the General Manager and senior management.
• Prepare, analyse and report on financial statements, highlighting trends and variances.
• Monitor performance, identify cost‑saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure accurate, timely records and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with departments to optimise business processes and evaluate investment projects.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity and treasury functions.
• Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Oversee internal and external audits and ensure adherence to policies.
• Lead, develop and mentor the finance and business support team.
• Implement cost‑control measures while maintaining service quality.
• Supervise procurement, negotiate vendor contracts and optimise supplier relationships.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in finance leadership, preferably within hospitality or a comparable industry.
• Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting and strategic financial planning.
• Strong analytical abilities with a focus on performance improvement.
• In‑depth knowledge of financial regulations, compliance and audit processes.
• Demonstrated capability to manage cash flow, treasury and risk mitigation.
• Excellent communication skills to advise senior management and influence decision‑making.
• Leadership experience with a talent for developing high‑performing teams.
