Director of Operations

About the role

The Director of Operations will act as the strategic business leader for the hotel's overall operations, overseeing key departments such as Front Office, Recreation/Health Club, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Culinary, and Engineering/Maintenance. Reporting to senior hotel leadership, the role ensures brand standards are met, guest satisfaction is maximized, and financial performance is optimized.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute property‑wide operational strategies aligned with the brand’s business objectives.
• Monitor profitability, analyze guest satisfaction data, and implement corrective actions to meet revenue and cost targets.
• Lead department heads, fostering collaboration and ensuring consistent delivery of the brand’s service vision.
• Review financial statements, occupancy, rates, wages, and controllable expenses to keep operations on budget.
• Drive continuous improvement of the guest experience by reviewing feedback and implementing service enhancements.
• Maintain positive owner relations and ensure a strong return on investment.

Required profile

• Either a 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or a related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a 4‑year bachelor’s degree in the same fields with at least 2 years of experience.
• Proven experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales & marketing, or hotel operations management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multi‑department teams and drive financial results.
