About the role
The Employee Relations Officer provides essential administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources Employee Relations unit, ensuring smooth daily operations and high‑quality service to staff and external partners.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to all staff and external inquiries received via the HR helpdesk email promptly.
- Collect, sort and distribute incoming mail and ensure timely processing of outgoing correspondence.
- Forward department emails to relevant personnel and follow up on personnel matters.
- Coordinate with IT to issue new access cards and manage their distribution.
- Maintain stationery inventory and place orders as needed.
- Undertake special projects, prioritize multiple tasks and monitor progress.
- Prepare background documents and ensure compliance with university regulations.
- Act as first point of contact for the Senior Manager’s office, handling phone screening and personal inquiries.
- Draft routine and non‑routine correspondence such as memos, letters and emails.
- Maintain filing systems and input data into the Human Resource Information System related to employee relations.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant administrative or HR experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency in using a Human Resource Information System (HRIS) for data entry.
