Engineering Technician – Secret Clearance

About the role

KBR is seeking an Engineering Technician to support installation engineering, construction management, surveying, drafting, and geospatial data development for the 378th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron at Prince Sultan Air Base. The role ensures that facilities and infrastructure data remain accurate, compliant, and mission‑ready.

Key responsibilities

• Perform field surveys, including topographic, boundary, and utility surveys.
• Develop and maintain technical drawings, maps, and geospatial datasets using AutoCAD and GIS tools.
• Support construction inspections, documentation, and quality‑assurance activities.
• Maintain as‑built drawings, facility records, and infrastructure documentation.
• Update GeoBase, CIP, MDS, and MDL data in line with SDSFIE and Air Force standards.
• Assist with airfield obstruction data updates, waiver documentation, and site‑preparation coordination.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with a valid driver’s license and passport (book) meeting the stated validity requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
• Minimum three years of combined experience in surveying, drafting, construction management, and project management.
• At least one year of recent experience using AutoCAD and GIS software.
• Two years of experience working with public or government organizations.
