Field Service Technician – Electronics Home Appliances

About the role

The Field Service Technician will diagnose, repair and replace components in a range of household electronics and appliances. You will work directly at customer locations, ensuring timely resolution of issues and high levels of satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Prescreen, identify, analyze and repair appliance and electronic product failures.
• Configure and troubleshoot hardware such as audio‑DSP, A/V control, video and audio devices, and USB‑based software applications.
• Order required parts after prescreen to have them on hand before visiting the customer.
• Complete daily administrative tasks including warranty claims and report submission.
• Maintain performance objectives, vehicle, tools, equipment and parts inventory.
• Document service and installation actions through forms, logs and reports.
• Work independently without onsite supervision and follow safety guidelines.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of field service experience with major home appliances.
• Relevant certifications such as Refrigerant Handling Certificate(s), CET, HVAC or other appliance/electronics service credentials.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
• Physical ability to perform typical field‑service tasks (lifting, bending, etc.).
• Flexibility to work schedules based on business needs.
• Strong communication, organization and customer‑service skills.
