Finance Officer (Kuwait Branch)

About the role

The Finance Officer handles accounting activities for the bank's Profit & Loss, Fixed Assets and Chart of Accounts, keeps fixed asset depreciation up to date and helps prepare various reports. The role is based in the Kuwait branch.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare fixed asset depreciation schedules
• Verify vouchers for fixed asset purchases, disposals and write-offs
• Prepare Profit and Loss statements, deposit and advances position reports for management and the Board, and consolidated income and expenditure statements
• Check batch reports of Head Office operations
• Open new ledgers and maintain the Chart of Accounts
• Prepare consolidated reports for external auditors and QCB auditors
• Process staff gratuity calculations and assist in preparing balance sheets
• Assist in preparing the bank's annual budget
• Prepare ALCO statements and market share analysis reports on deposits and advances by currency

Required profile

• University degree in Business, Banking, Finance or Accounting
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting procedures
• Good written and spoken English; Arabic is an advantage
• Must be from the Kuwait market
