Fire/EMS Chief – Lead Fire Station Operations

About the role

The Fire/EMS Chief will oversee daily fire station operations in Kuwait, ensuring personnel are trained, ready, and capable of rapid response. This senior position provides 24/7 fire, rescue, and emergency medical services to the installation and coordinates with Army and host‑nation requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage fire station staffing, equipment, training, inspections, and fire drills to maintain operational readiness.
• Direct fire‑fighting, aircraft rescue, structural firefighting, hazardous‑materials response, technical rescue (auto extrication, confined‑space), and EMS support.
• Develop and enforce fire prevention and protection plans, self‑inspection compliance programs, and new fire ordinances.
• Oversee a large budget, vehicle replacement programming, and facility improvement planning across multiple stations.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with Secret security clearance.
• Associate’s degree or higher in fire technology and certifications per DoD Manual 6055.06, including Fire Officer IV.
• Minimum ten years fire‑protection experience, including three years as an Assistant Chief.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to obtain host‑nation heavy‑duty driver’s license.
