Generator Rebuild & HVAC Technician – Camp Arifjan, Kuwait

About the role

The Generator Rebuild & HVAC Technician provides on‑site technical support for the EPP III Patriot missile generator system and associated HVAC equipment at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. You will ensure reliable power generation and environmental control for U.S. Army operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform overhaul, maintenance, and sustainment of 3 kW‑150 kW generators, including engine, main generator, and control panel rebuilds.
• Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC electrical systems, electronic controls, and program logic for military and commercial generators.
• Diagnose, service, and maintain HVAC units, chillers, and environmental control units mounted on trailers or vehicles.
• Operate load banks and dynometers for performance testing and conduct load‑bank testing.
• Fabricate wire harnesses, solder terminals, and perform electrical wiring repairs.
• Work both in a generator shop environment and in field locations, including installation and removal of generators.
• Provide technical training to site operations and maintenance personnel.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Valid U.S. passport (minimum two‑year validity), driver’s license, and international driver’s permit.
• High school diploma with 6 + years of generator/HVAC experience, or equivalent BA/BS with 2 + years, or AA/AS with 4 + years.
• Ability to pass all medical requirements for deployment to the CENTCOM Area of Operations.
• EPA Certified HVAC/R Universal Technician (preferred).
