Human Resources Specialist

About the role

The Human Resources Specialist will support Marriott International's management and leadership teams in handling day‑to‑day HR matters. This full‑time position is based on Al Shuhada Street in Kuwait City and focuses on employee transfers, hiring processes, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist employees with internal and external transfer requests and procedures.
• Monitor and support managers throughout the hiring process, including drug screens, reference checks, background checks, motor‑vehicle checks, and SSN verification.
• Maintain applicant flow logs, orientation records, and personnel files in the HR Information System.
• Coordinate new‑employee orientation and ensure all documentation (I‑9s, interview files) is accurate and compliant.
• Support payroll record processing and generate HR data reports as needed.
• Answer phone calls, record messages, and draft office correspondence.
• Serve as an HR subject‑matter expert on project teams and train new hires on HR policies and systems.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related HR experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Professional appearance and clear communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
