ICT Teacher

About the role

The American Baccalaureate School seeks an enthusiastic ICT Teacher to deliver a comprehensive computer curriculum to high‑school students. Reporting to the Principal, you will foster confidence and competence in digital skills, supporting the school’s mission to develop independent, globally‑aware learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver well‑structured lessons aligned with the syllabus and student abilities.
• Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages active learning and high standards of behavior.
• Inspire enthusiasm for ICT, helping students reach their full potential.
• Collaborate with the Head of Department, learning support, and pastoral staff to address special educational needs and personal difficulties.
• Assign and assess homework, monitor progress, and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Maintain teaching resources, attend faculty and parent‑teacher meetings, and contribute to school‑wide initiatives.
• Promote the use of English as the language of instruction and support students’ academic development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification for the appropriate level.
• Prior experience teaching computer subjects in a school setting.
• Strong presentation, written and administrative abilities.
• Adaptable, nurturing approach with excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage classroom dynamics.
