Industrial Projects Manager – Project Cargo

About the role

The Industrial Projects Manager – Project Cargo leads the end‑to‑end delivery of complex industrial logistics projects, from tendering through execution to close‑out. You will act as the senior liaison for clients, EPCs, OEMs and partners, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee full project lifecycle, including route studies, feasibility, transport engineering and risk mitigation.
• Approve method statements, lifting plans and HSSE documentation; ensure compliance with technical, safety and contractual standards.
• Lead budgeting, cost control, financial forecasting and quotation approval; guarantee accurate billing and margin protection.
• Serve as primary contact for key clients, manage escalations, negotiate solutions and monitor SLAs and KPIs.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams (chartering, engineering, finance, HSSE, operations) and manage relationships with heavy‑lift carriers and specialized subcontractors.
• Conduct risk assessments, ensure adherence to international trade and customs regulations, and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Supervise and mentor project specialists and field teams, building capability in heavy‑lift logistics and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in multimodal project logistics, heavy‑lift operations and chartering.
• Strong commercial acumen with proven P&L management for large‑scale projects.
• Advanced knowledge of Incoterms, HSSE frameworks and transport engineering principles.
• Proficiency with logistics ERP systems such as SAP or CargoWise.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple high‑value projects under tight timelines.
