Instrumentation Engineer – Oil & Gas

About the role

Anton Oilfield Services Group is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to lead and supervise instrumentation and control maintenance activities at its Kuwait site. The role focuses on ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all instrumentation and control systems across oil and gas processes.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and lead instrumentation and control maintenance teams.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, and electrical instrumentation.
• Maintain and support PLC, DCS, SCADA, ESD, fire & gas detection, and other industrial control systems.
• Develop and maintain equipment records, asset information, and maintenance documentation in a CMMS.
• Update as‑built drawings, technical documentation, and equipment catalogs.
• Design preventive maintenance programs and manage manpower, material, and spare‑part requirements.
• Perform and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation and protective devices.
• Diagnose faults, recommend corrective actions, and improve system reliability.
• Coordinate testing, calibration, repair activities, and maintenance planning.
• Prepare maintenance reports, shutdown analyses, failure investigations, and equipment history records.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, permit‑to‑work procedures, and audit requirements.
• Develop and deliver technical training for maintenance personnel.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in instrumentation and control system maintenance.
• At least 4 years of experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or similar process facilities.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex maintenance projects.

Required skills

• Pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, and electrical instrumentation.
• PLC, DCS, SCADA, ESD, fire & gas detection systems.
• Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) usage.
• Preventive maintenance planning, calibration, fault diagnosis, and reliability engineering.
