Inventory Control/BII Specialist

About the role

The Inventory Control/BII Specialist will be based in Kuwait and will ensure 100 % physical accountability of all Basic Issue Items (BII) and Components of End Item (COEI) for APS‑5 equipment sets. The role combines detailed inventory management with validation of tactical digital communications systems to maintain equipment readiness in accordance with Army regulations and APS‑5 SOPs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform full, partial and cyclic inventories of BII, COEI and AAL components for all APS‑5 equipment.
• Maintain 100 % physical component count and reconcile discrepancies using AWRDS, GCSS‑Army, DPAS and other tracking systems.
• Validate vehicle gear layouts against authorized property books and technical manuals.
• Identify, record and report missing, damaged or substituted items.
• Support issue, turn‑in and reset operations with complete BII/COEI validation.
• Validate and perform functional checks on SINCGARS/Harris radios, Joint Capabilities Release (JCR) and Blue Force Tracker (BFT) systems.
• Use TMDE equipment to isolate electronic faults to the Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) level and maintain audit‑ready logs.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Communication Shop and Materiel Management teams to resolve discrepancies.

Required profile

• Experience in inventory control of military or defense equipment.
• Familiarity with Army logistics systems such as AWRDS, GCSS‑Army and DPAS.
• Ability to read and apply technical manuals and SOPs.
• Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate reconciliation documentation.
