JICO Advisor / Tactical Data Link SME

About the role

The JICO Advisor/TDL SME is a full‑time, on‑site position supporting joint and coalition operations from Kuwait City. The role provides expert technical guidance on Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO) processes and tactical data link (TDL) planning, ensuring secure and interoperable communications across U.S. and allied forces.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance on JICO/JICC processes and oversee TDL planning and execution.
• Coordinate with U.S. and allied military stakeholders to validate link configurations and troubleshoot interoperability issues.
• Analyze network architectures and conduct interoperability testing and validation.
• Develop and deliver training courses and produce technical documentation, briefs, and after‑action reports.
• Advise on C4ISR and COMSEC policies, procedures, and secure data exchange.
• Collaborate with operational units to optimize mission effectiveness and support continuous improvement of joint networks.

Required profile

• Certified JICO with demonstrated expertise in Joint Interface Control and TDL management.
• Strong C4ISR background integrating sensors, platforms, and command‑and‑control systems in joint/coalition environments.
• Hands‑on experience with COMSEC management, keying material handling, and secure communications for FMS or allied operations.
• Proficiency with network analysis tools, mission planning systems, and interoperability testing processes.
• Solid understanding of U.S. and NATO standards, doctrines, and policies related to data links and information assurance.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and technical writing abilities.
• Effective communication skills for working in multinational teams and interfacing with military and civilian stakeholders.
