Medical Science Liaison

About the role

Serve as the key scientific partner and primary medical contact for Roots Pharmaceutical Company, establishing and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals and scientific stakeholders. Ensure accurate, balanced and timely communication of medical and scientific information to support the company’s products and therapeutic areas.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the scientific ambassador to clinicians, researchers and academic institutions.
• Build, maintain and expand peer‑to‑peer relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals to communicate clinical and scientific data.
• Align and execute Medical Affairs activities such as clinical trials, investigator‑initiated studies and real‑world evidence programmes in line with strategic plans.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including commercial, regulatory affairs, market access, clinical operations, quality and pharmacovigilance while ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
• Deliver scientific training to internal sales, marketing and regulatory teams to ensure consistent messaging.
• Collect and communicate field insights to inform product strategy and development, and represent the company at scientific congresses, symposia and advisory boards.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Medicine, Pharmacy or Life Sciences (MD, PharmD).
• 3–5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Strong scientific background with understanding of clinical research and drug development.
• Excellent organizational, project‑management and time‑management abilities.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with KOLs, investigators and health stakeholders.
• Ability to analyse, interpret and communicate complex scientific and clinical data to diverse audiences.
