Network Installation Team Lead

About the role

Trace Systems is recruiting a cleared Network Installation Team Lead to join its team in Kuwait. The position involves organizing and directing network installations, preparing engineering plans and drawings, and coordinating post-installation support.

Key responsibilities

• Organize and direct network installations on site surveys.
• Assess and document current site network configuration and user requirements.
• Design and optimize network topologies.
• Lead preparation of engineering plans, Technical Design Packages and drawings showing configuration changes at each site.
• Develop installation schedules and mobilize the network installation team.
• Prepare site installation and test reports.
• Coordinate post-installation operations and maintenance support.

Required profile

• Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance; US citizenship is required due to contract requirements.
• At least 5 years of general network experience, of which 3 years must be directly related US military network experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Required skills

• Knowledge of data center installation and maintenance, including Palo Alto, Blue Coat, Cisco (M6) and Juniper (MX480) devices.
• Testing and troubleshooting of network equipment, including legacy Promina 800 and SL-100 devices.
• Installation, maintenance and repair of copper and fiber communications cables.
• Familiarity with circuit testing equipment.
• Desired: familiarity with DoD installation practices and standards.
• Desired: strong use of MS Project, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint and Word for project reports and dashboards.
