Oil & Gas Services Manager

About the role

Gulf Cryo is looking for an Oil & Gas Services Manager based in Al Ahmadi, Kuwait. The role establishes, develops and manages the company's oil and gas services business, initially focusing on hydraulic fracturing and Pipeline and Process Services, taking end-to-end responsibility for business planning, commercial development, financial performance, people, equipment, operational readiness and project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Build the business plan, market entry strategy, service portfolio, organizational structure and implementation roadmap, and set up operating facilities, workshops, systems and procedures.
• Develop relationships with oil and gas operators and engineering contractors, build a qualified opportunity pipeline and lead tendering, pricing, contract negotiations and proposals.
• Manage hydraulic fracturing services, including treatment designs, pumping programs, equipment availability and coordination of CO2 and Nitrogen transport.
• Oversee pipeline and process services such as cleaning, pigging, hydrotesting, dewatering, nitrogen purging, leak testing and recommissioning, and coordinate interfaces with construction teams and plant operations.
• Own project delivery from contract award through mobilization, execution, demobilization, closeout and commercial settlement, and manage scope changes, variations, claims and customer acceptance.
• Recruit and retain engineers, supervisors, operators and technicians, maintain competence matrices and training plans, and plan staffing and crew rotations.
• Manage equipment specifications, procurement, fleet allocation, maintenance, preventive maintenance, inspections, calibration and critical spares.
• Establish HSE and quality systems, risk assessments, emergency arrangements and incident investigations, and lead audits and service-quality improvements.
• Own the business unit's profit and loss, budgets, forecasts, cost controls, capital and operating expenditure, and report performance and investment proposals to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in petroleum, mechanical, chemical engineering or a related discipline.
• Suggested 10-15 years in oil and gas services, including at least five years managing operations, projects or a service business.
• Proven experience managing field personnel, service equipment, project delivery and financial performance.
• Experience establishing or expanding a service operation is strongly preferred.
• Experience in tendering, contract negotiation, customer prequalification and commercial management.
• Gulf-region operating experience and knowledge of customer requirements are advantageous.
