Optometrist – Retail Eye Care Specialist

About the role

Join the EssilorLuxottica Chalhoub team as a retail Optometrist, delivering comprehensive eye examinations and personalized after‑care to ensure total customer satisfaction. You will act as a brand ambassador, welcoming every client and exceeding their expectations throughout the store experience.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough eye examinations for patients of all ages in line with local guidelines.
• Provide accurate measurements, including pupillary distance (PD), and issue prescriptions for spectacles or contact lenses.
• Recommend appropriate eyewear, frames, lenses and coatings based on individual needs.
• Perform store duties such as opening, closing, merchandising and sales.
• Coach and support assistants to deliver effective selling behaviours.
• Liaise with other medical practitioners when required.
• Achieve sales targets for spectacles and contact lenses.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience as an Optometrist in a retail or optical setting.
• Possession of an optical diploma and a valid optical license.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• In‑depth knowledge of vision correction, frame styling, lens types and coatings.
• Proficiency in performing accurate PD measurements.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation with the ability to build lasting relationships.
