Patient Care Tech I – 2nd Floor Rehab

About the role

The Patient Care Tech I works on the 2nd Floor Rehab unit, providing direct support to patients and their families. This frontline position requires compassion, strong communication, and the ability to collaborate with the broader healthcare team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with basic care tasks, hygiene, and monitoring.
• Ensure all aspects of patient care are completed accurately and timely.
• Maintain clear, consistent communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Provide education and support related to CPR, skills training, and hospitality in healthcare.
• Work flexible hours to meet the needs of the rehab unit.

Required profile

• Completion of at least 12 college credit hours, including a passing grade in English Composition (C or higher) and a minimum overall GPA of 2.0 (transcripts verified).
• Healthcare or service‑industry experience preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Ability to learn and apply new healthcare‑related skills.
• Proactive problem‑solving and anticipation of patient needs.
• Effective collaboration with the multidisciplinary care team.

Required skills

• CPR certification.
