Patient Care Tech I – 2nd Floor Rehab

About the role

The Patient Care Tech I provides essential support to patients and their families on the 2nd Floor Rehab unit. Working the day shift, the technician assists with basic care, monitoring, and hygiene while acting as a compassionate liaison between patients, families, and the broader healthcare team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with basic care, monitoring, and hygiene.
• Ensure completion of patient care tasks as part of the care team.
• Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
• Provide compassionate, patient‑focused interaction throughout the shift.

Required profile

• Completion of at least 12 college credit hours, including English Composition with a minimum grade of C and overall GPA ≥2.0 (transcripts verified).
• Healthcare or service‑industry experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and a day shift (6:30 am‑7:00 pm).
• Strong organization, verbal and written communication abilities.

Required skills

• CPR certification (provided through employer training).
