Patient Care Tech I – 3rd Floor Rehab

About the role

The Patient Care Tech I works on the 3rd Floor Rehab unit, providing basic patient care, monitoring, and hygiene support to patients and their families. As the team member who spends the most time with patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring comprehensive and compassionate care.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with daily care activities, including hygiene and monitoring.
• Support the patient care team by communicating patient needs and updates.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment on the rehab floor.
• Participate in scheduled education sessions such as CPR and hospitality training.

Required profile

• Completion of at least 12 college credit hours, including English Composition with a minimum grade of C and overall GPA of 2.0 or higher (transcripts verified).
• Willingness to work flexible day‑shift hours (6:30 am‑7:00 pm) and a total of 72 hours bi‑weekly.
• Compassionate, caring attitude with strong human interaction skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.

Required skills

• CPR certification (provided if not already held).
• Good organization and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to learn and apply new healthcare‑related skills.
• Collaboration with the healthcare team and proactive anticipation of patient needs.
