About the role

The Patient Care Technician I provides essential bedside support on the 3rd Floor Rehab unit. The role focuses on assisting patients and families with basic care, hygiene, and monitoring while ensuring that care plans are fully executed.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with daily care activities, hygiene, and monitoring.
• Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain compassionate, respectful communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Anticipate and respond proactively to patient needs throughout the shift.

Required profile

• Completion of 12 college‑level credit hours, including a passing grade (C or higher) in English Composition and an overall GPA of at least 2.0 (transcripts verified).
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required; service‑industry experience also welcomed.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and strong organizational abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn and apply new healthcare‑related skills and to collaborate consistently with the care team.
• Problem‑solving mindset and proactive approach to anticipating patient needs.
