Patient Care Tech I – Night Shift (2nd Floor Rehab)

About the role

The Patient Care Tech I provides essential bedside support on the 2nd Floor Rehab during the night shift. Working closely with patients, families, and the healthcare team, you will ensure basic care, hygiene, and monitoring are delivered with compassion and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with daily care activities, hygiene, and monitoring.
• Ensure all aspects of patient care are completed accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other staff to maintain seamless care continuity.
• Deliver education sessions covering CPR, skills training, crucial conversations, and hospitality in healthcare.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with patients, families, and the care team.

Required profile

• Completion of at least 12 college‑level credit hours, including a passing grade (C or higher) in English Composition.
• Overall GPA of 2.0 or higher (transcripts will be verified).
• Willingness to work flexible night hours (6:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.) and a bi‑weekly schedule of 72 hours.
• Strong organization, verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capacity to learn new healthcare skills, solve problems proactively, and engage patients at appropriate wellness levels.

Required skills

• CPR certification (provided through employer training).
