Patient Care Tech I – Night Shift – 3rd Floor Rehab

About the role

The Patient Care Tech I (PCT) works on the 3rd Floor Rehab unit during the night shift (6:30 pm – 7:00 am). The primary function is to assist patients and their families with basic care, monitoring, and hygiene while ensuring that all aspects of care are completed. Compassion, strong communication, and teamwork are essential as the PCT spends most of the time directly with patients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with basic patient care, monitoring, and hygiene.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care activities during the night shift.
• Participate in on‑the‑job education such as CPR, skills training, and hospitality in healthcare.

Required profile

• Completion of 12 college‑level credit hours, including English Composition with a grade of C or higher and an overall GPA of 2.0 or greater (transcripts verified).
• Willingness to work flexible night‑shift hours (72 hours bi‑weekly).
• Good organization, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn and apply new healthcare‑related skills.
• Ability to collaborate consistently with the healthcare team.
• Proactive problem‑solving and anticipation of patient needs.
